Kevin & Denise Folger

Kevin and Denise Folger met while students in Bible college. They married on May 22, 1976 while still studying for the ministry. They make their home in the greater Cleveland, OH area. Kevin and Denise enjoy ministry and love being grandparents to eleven grandchildren.

God has blessed the Folger home with three sons, and their families.

Andrew Folger (Son)

Andrew Folger serves as the Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He is married to Chere’, and they are proud parents of four wonderful children: Carter, Blake, Aubrey, and Karissa. Also, we are thrilled to welcome Bethany, Carter’s wife, into the Folger family.

Kevin N. Folger (Son)

Kevin N. Folger is the VP - Corporate Controller Materion Corp in Beachwood, OH, and is married to Alli, who is a Nurse Practitioner with the Cleveland Clinic. God has blessed their home with three outstanding children, Christian, Gracie, and Camden.

Peter Folger (Son)

Peter J. Folger is the pastor of Cleveland Baptist Church in greater Cleveland, OH. He is married to Sandra, and they are parents to four wonderful children, Madison, Mallory, Mia and Toby.

  • Kevin Folger was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1957. His family started attending Cleveland Baptist Church in 1958, the year it was founded. At the age of five, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Through a series of circumstances, God made it clear that He was calling him to preach, and in March 1974, while a junior in high school, he fully committed his life to that calling.
  • In 1975, Kevin enrolled at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned his Graduate of Theology in 1978. In May 1992, he received an Honorary Doctorate from Bible Baptist College in Canada, and another was bestowed in March 2015 from the South India Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Coimbatore, India.
  • While in college, he met and married Denise Smith. Kevin and Denise have three sons: Kevin, Peter, and Andrew. God has blessed their family with eleven cherished grandchildren.
  • Following his graduation, Kevin started working on the staff of Cleveland Baptist Church, where he served in various ministries. In 1990, he was elected co-pastor alongside Dr. Roy Thompson, and in September 1995, he became the Senior Pastor, serving faithfully until his resignation in June 2019.
  • Kevin Folger has a wide range of experience in ministry. He served as the Superintendent of Heritage Christian School, a K-12 Christian day school operated by Cleveland Baptist Church, and was also the President of Heritage Baptist Institute, a four-year program for training future ministry leaders. He served on the executive committee of Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City, the Board of Trustees of Baptist International Missions, Inc., the Board of Awake America, the Roma Outreach Mission Association, and was the President of Buckeye Christian School Association.
  • Kevin Folger has traveled and preached around the world, ministering among a broad circle of Independent Baptists. He has used his influence to motivate Baptists worldwide to uphold biblically-based Baptist distinctives.
  • Kevin is currently serving as a missionary evangelist, working with the Asian Bible Project, a ministry that collaborates with Ministry Asia to distribute Bibles throughout the Asian 10/40 Window.
  • Brother Folger is available to speak for Revivals, Mission Conferences, Bible Conferences, pulpit supply, one-day meetings, or to present the Asian Bible Project.
