Kevin & Denise Folger

Kevin and Denise Folger met while students in Bible college. They married on May 22, 1976 while still studying for the ministry. They make their home in the greater Cleveland, OH area. Kevin and Denise enjoy ministry and love being grandparents to eleven grandchildren.

God has blessed the Folger home with three sons, and their families.

Andrew Folger (Son)

Andrew Folger is executive pastor and will be assuming the Senior Pastor position of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Indianapolis in April 2025. He is married to Chere’. They are parents to four great children, Carter, Blake, Aubrey and Karissa.

Kevin N. Folger (Son)

Kevin N. Folger is the VP - Corporate Controller Materion Corp in Beachwood, OH, and is married to Alli, who is a Nurse Practitioner with the Cleveland Clinic. God has blessed their home with three outstanding children, Christian, Gracie, and Camden.

Peter Folger (Son)

Peter J. Folger is the pastor of Cleveland Baptist Church in greater Cleveland, OH. He is married to Sandra, and they are parents to four wonderful children, Madison, Mallory, Mia and Toby.

  • Kevin Folger was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. In August 1958, Pastor Roy Thompson started Cleveland Baptist Church; the Folger family were founding members of the new congregation. Growing up, Kevin’s parents instilled in his heart a desire to know God and to serve Him. Through that upbringing, Kevin was Saved and Baptized at the age of five, in 1963. Through a series of circumstances, God made it clear that He was calling Kevin to preach, and in March of 1974, as a junior in high school he fully committed his life to that purpose.
  • Kevin enrolled in Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned his Graduate of Theology in 1978. In June of that year, Kevin began working on the staff of his home church, Cleveland Baptist Church, where he served in many different ministries. June 1990, the church voted Kevin to be co-pastor with Dr. Roy Thompson, and on September 3, 1995, he became the Senior Pastor. He served faithfully in that capacity, until his resignation on June 2, 2019.
  • During his tenure as pastor of Cleveland Baptist, God used Kevin’s leadership to pay off all the debt of the church, while acquiring additional church property, and remodeling and renovating the church facilities. This was done by God’s grace in a time when the city of Cleveland was experiencing a tremendous negative demographic and economic impact.
  • Kevin has had the opportunity to travel and preach around the world and has ministered among the large circle of Independent Baptists. He has used his influence to encourage Baptists across the face of the globe.
  • After his resignation from Cleveland Baptist Church, the Lord led Kevin to help found Spiritual Leadership Asia an expansion of the ministry of Spiritual Leadership Conference of Asia. Working with Dr. Paul Chappell and Brother Niranjan Sundararaj in a collaborative effort, the purpose of this ministry is to further the gospel among the 10/40 focused nations of Asia. Kevin serves as the North American Director of Spiritual Leadership Asia. A ministry that equips trains and encourages Asians in reaching the 10/40 Window.

Kevin is available to preach Revivals, Mission Conferences, Bible Conferences, pulpit supply, one-day meetings, or to present the ministry of Spiritual Leadership Asia.
